This group forecasts the outcome of the EFL Championship soccer match between Southampton and QPR on October 31, 2026. Markets exist for Southampton winning, QPR winning, or the match ending in a draw, all after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
The event resolves based on the full-time result of the Southampton vs QPR professional EFL Championship soccer match originally scheduled for October 31, 2026. A 'Yes' outcome occurs for the respective market if the associated team wins the match within 90 minutes plus stoppage time. If the match ends in a tie after this regulation time, the 'Tie' market resolves to 'Yes'. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets will resolve to a fair price as determined by the platform rules. The resolution excludes outcomes from extra time or penalty shootouts, focusing solely on the result at the end of regular time.
This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for October 31, 2026, 15:00 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds, like those found on Kalshi and Limitless, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the underlying mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves, while prediction markets are driven by supply and demand. This market’s odds reflect what traders are willing to pay or receive, creating a more direct measure of belief. Consequently, prediction markets can sometimes offer more favorable odds, especially when there’s disagreement or uncertainty surrounding the event. The collective intelligence of the crowd can also lead to more accurate predictions over time.
Kalshi and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Kalshi and Limitless for the Southampton vs QPR match may differ due to variations in user base, trading activity, and platform-specific fees. Each platform attracts a different set of traders with varying levels of expertise and information. This can lead to discrepancies in how the probabilities are assessed and reflected in the market prices. Additionally, differing liquidity and trading volumes on each platform can influence price discovery. While both platforms track the same underlying event, these factors contribute to potentially divergent pricing signals.
