This event tracks various thresholds of points scored in the final quarter of a college football game, allowing participants to speculate on how high-scoring the last quarter will be. The outcome depends solely on the combined points scored by both teams during that specific period, excluding any overtime play.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the designated college football game. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds that threshold, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Points from overtime do not count toward any market outcome.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often providing a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds, especially as the event approaches. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to profit from public perception, while this market aggregates the diverse opinions of informed traders. However, initial sportsbook lines can sometimes be more efficient, especially before significant volume builds up in this market. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but they are derived through different mechanisms and can diverge.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 4th quarter of the South Carolina vs Oklahoma game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, ensuring an objective determination of whether the total points scored fall above or below the relevant threshold. The platform will then process the results and settle the contracts accordingly.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the South Carolina or Oklahoma teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also shift the market. Furthermore, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions could influence traders’ expectations. Even public sentiment, as reflected in social media or expert analysis, can contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
