This market tracks which team will score the first touchdown in an upcoming college football game between South Carolina and Florida. It covers all types of touchdowns, including those from offense, defense, or special teams, and includes scenarios where the game goes into overtime. If neither team scores a touchdown at all, a separate outcome is available.
The market resolves based on which team scores the first touchdown in the South Carolina vs Florida college football game originally scheduled for October 10, 2026. All touchdowns—including offensive, defensive, and special teams plays—are counted, and a touchdown scored in overtime still counts toward resolution. If neither team scores a touchdown during the entire game, including overtime, the “No team” market resolves as the winner. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the market resolves to a fair price. Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early on, as prediction markets can quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities based on collective insight. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise when forming your own opinion.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market's current assessment of that outcome's likelihood. As more people buy contracts for a particular team, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of them scoring first. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to rapidly adjust to new information and changing sentiment, providing a real-time view of expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team scores the first touchdown in the South Carolina vs Florida game. The official game results will be used to determine the winning outcome. The platform will verify the result against publicly available and trusted sources to ensure an accurate and transparent resolution process.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either South Carolina or Florida would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they favor one team's offensive style, could also impact the market. Furthermore, any pre-game analysis or expert opinions suggesting a strategic advantage for one team could lead to increased trading volume and price adjustments. Public sentiment and betting trends observed elsewhere may also play a role.
