Prediction market odds often differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks, reflecting the wisdom of the crowd versus the assessments of professional oddsmakers. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to express their opinion with real money. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can drive the price on Polymarket in a different direction. This dynamic can sometimes lead to prediction markets being more accurate than sportsbooks, particularly when public information is limited or subjective factors are at play.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. As more people buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly translates to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, constantly adjusting as new information becomes available. The current price reflects the aggregated predictions of all traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results of the Sonic Boom versus Mobis Phoebus match in the LoL Champions Korea league. The platform will verify the results against reliable sources to determine which outcome is the winner. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out according to the final share price at the time of resolution. It’s important to monitor the event closely as the resolution date approaches.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding team rosters, player performance, or strategic changes could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected upsets in other matches within the LoL Champions Korea league could also impact perceptions of team strength. Major announcements about the tournament format or schedule could also cause price fluctuations. Additionally, significant volume from large traders on Polymarket could quickly move the market, as could any widely publicized analysis or predictions from esports experts.
