On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular outcome, and the price of those shares fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more people buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the potential result. This differs from fixed-odds betting, where the odds are set in advance and don’t change based on subsequent trading activity.
This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Sokoltsov vs. Melashenko match as reported by the governing sporting body. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome. Traders who correctly predicted the result will be paid out according to the final share price at the time of resolution, while those who predicted incorrectly will forfeit their shares.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected performance in prior matches could significantly impact trader sentiment. Public opinion, as reflected in polls or expert analysis, may also play a role, though the market isn’t directly tied to these sources. Major upsets in related matches, or even broader trends in the sport, could also contribute to price movements as traders adjust their predictions leading up to Oct 29, 2026.
