On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event's likelihood. The current implied probability of a particular outcome is determined by its share price relative to $1.
This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Sokoltsov vs. Hrynenko match as reported by the governing sports body. The platform will verify the result against publicly available data to determine the winning outcome. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at resolution, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 23, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or unexpected announcements about the match schedule could lead to significant price movements. Public sentiment, as reflected in social media or expert analysis, can also play a role. A strong performance by either player in a preceding match, or a shift in public perception regarding their chances of winning, could all impact trading activity and alter the odds. Unexpected upsets or controversies could also cause substantial shifts in the market.
