On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts dynamically, reflecting the evolving consensus. The higher the price of a share, the more likely the market believes that outcome is to happen. This creates a real-time assessment of probabilities based on collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Sokoltsov vs. Fomin match, as determined by the governing sporting body. The platform will then verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. It’s important to note that the official result is the sole determinant of resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or significant shifts in public opinion could lead to price movements. Unexpected announcements from either athlete or their teams, or even analysis from sports commentators, could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, large volume trades on Polymarket itself can create momentum and drive price fluctuations. Monitoring these signals can help you understand how the market is reacting to new information and potentially identify trading opportunities.
