Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own analysis and information. If there is disagreement between the two, it can create opportunities for arbitrage, where traders can profit by betting on the same outcome on both platforms. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities of the same event occurring, and discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions and information available to each group.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect new information and changing sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current top outcome, São Paulo FC 0 - 0 SC Corinthians Paulista, has a chance percentage of 50.0% according to traders on the platform. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated.
This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the São Paulo vs. Corinthians match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score determined by official sources will be used to determine the winning shares. The platform will then distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the final result. It’s important to monitor official sources for the confirmed result as this will be the basis for settlement.
