Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to express their own probabilities based on information and analysis. If there’s a significant discrepancy, it may indicate that the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced a particular outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets move more efficiently as new information becomes available, potentially offering a different perspective than fixed sportsbook lines.
