Frequently asked questions

Comparing prediction market odds to those offered by sportsbooks reveals how public sentiment differs from professional analysis. Sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders. Often, discrepancies arise due to differing information access or biases. If sportsbooks heavily favor one competitor, but this market shows a more even split, it suggests traders believe the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of an upset. Observing these differences can offer valuable insights.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective assessment of the event's likelihood. The current volume indicates active participation and a developing consensus.

This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
