Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can express that view by buying or selling contracts, driving the price towards what they perceive as the true probability. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a large amount of information becomes public, or if there are strong biases present in either the sportsbook or the prediction market.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price adjusts accordingly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of its participants.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Slozka vs. Palii match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is the winner. Traders holding contracts for the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution, while those holding contracts for the losing outcome will forfeit their stake.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 11, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or strategic announcements from either player could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches involving these players, or significant changes in public opinion based on expert analysis, could also cause price fluctuations. Major upsets or surprising performances during the match itself, even before the official result, might lead to rapid adjustments in the market as traders react to new information.
