Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a 'wisdom of the crowd' effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market perceives information differently than sportsbooks, or that one venue has more informed traders. It’s important to compare and contrast to form your own informed opinion.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event. This creates a dynamic pricing system influenced by supply and demand, and the overall volume traded provides insight into the market’s confidence level regarding the Slabyshev vs. Skliar match.

This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Slabyshev vs. Skliar match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is declared the winner. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies based on the final result of the event.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions impacting the match could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to the players' form or public statements could also cause price fluctuations.
