Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both venues. However, it's important to note that prediction market odds are dynamic and can shift rapidly based on new information and trading activity.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the collective sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. For example, a share priced at 60 means there is a 60% implied probability of that outcome winning the Skyba vs. Müller match.

This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Skyba vs. Müller match, as determined by the governing sports organization. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome will be declared the winner and shares will be settled accordingly. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions could shift the perceived probabilities.
