Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. Comparing the odds can be a useful exercise for informed decision-making, but remember that each represents a different form of forecasting and has its own strengths and weaknesses.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the aggregated view of the crowd. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and sentiment.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
