Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders, aims to represent the true probabilities of each outcome, potentially offering more favorable odds for informed bettors. However, it's important to note that prediction markets and sportsbooks can diverge, especially early on or when significant information asymmetry exists. Analyzing both can provide a well-rounded view.
