Sportsbooks establish lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and perspectives. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. Keep in mind that these are distinct markets with different dynamics.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the market price adjusts to reflect the collective forecast. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is driven entirely by supply and demand, meaning it’s a direct expression of what traders are willing to pay for exposure to the potential result of the SHL hockey matchup.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.
