The market resolves based on the final score, including overtime, with a 50-50 split if the game is canceled without a reschedule.
The event resolves based on the winner of the designated basketball game. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, the market remains open and resolves according to the final official result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within this 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly states it is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Kalshi and Predict, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the underlying mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves, while prediction markets are driven by genuine buyer and seller opinions. This market’s odds reflect what individuals believe will happen, potentially offering a more accurate forecast, especially as more information becomes available. Furthermore, prediction markets allow participants to take either side of a bet, creating a dynamic pricing environment not always present in sportsbooks.
