This market refers to the cricket match between South Australia and Western Australia scheduled for October 27 2026 at 8:00 PM ET in Sheffield Shield. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market will remain open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price is determined by supply and demand; if more people believe an outcome is likely, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Sheffield Shield match between South Australia and Western Australia. The final result, as declared by the governing body of the Sheffield Shield, will determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome and their holdings in the market.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Key player injuries or unexpected team selections would likely cause significant movement. Weather forecasts, particularly if they predict conditions favoring one team’s style of play, could also shift predictions. Any news regarding team form, coaching changes, or even pre-match interviews with key players could impact market sentiment. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the relative strengths of South Australia and Western Australia has the potential to move this market.
