Description

This market refers to the cricket match between New South Wales Blues and Tasmania Tigers scheduled for October 7 2026 at 7:30 PM ET in Sheffield Shield. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market will remain open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Frequently asked questions

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different assessment than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and public betting patterns, this market allows traders to incorporate a wider range of information, including potentially non-public insights and subjective evaluations of team form. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of expertise among market participants and sports betting analysts, and the incentive structures inherent in each venue. It’s common to see odds diverge, especially in events where there’s significant uncertainty or limited historical data.

This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales Blues and Tasmania Tigers, as declared by the governing body of the competition. The winning team, or a declared draw if applicable, will determine the settlement of this market. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand the resolution process.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market before Oct 14, 2026. Key player injuries or unexpected team selection announcements could significantly shift expectations. Weather forecasts, particularly if they predict conditions favorable to one team’s playing style, could also drive price movement. Furthermore, any news regarding team morale, coaching changes, or recent performance in other matches could impact trader sentiment and lead to adjustments in the probabilities reflected in this market. Unexpected upsets in related matches could also indirectly affect the market.
