Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise from differing information sources, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of trading. It’s common to see prediction market prices move independently of sportsbook lines as new information becomes available and more traders participate.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where shares representing each possible outcome are bought and sold. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and the probability of it happening, as perceived by the market, goes up. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand from traders on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions could impact the perceived probabilities. Major announcements related to the players or the tournament itself could also trigger significant price movements in this market.
