In the upcoming Chinese Super League game between Shanghai Shenhua FC and Qingdao Xihaian FC, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 2:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Shanghai Shenhua FC vs. Qingdao Xihaian FC match originally scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 2:30 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome, potentially uncovering information not fully captured by sportsbooks. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply varying opinions among bettors. It's common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information, potentially leading to odds that diverge from, or converge with, those offered by sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact scores, and the price of each contract reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to find an equilibrium. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy contracts for that score, driving up the price. Conversely, if traders believe a score is unlikely, they will sell, lowering the price.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Shanghai Shenhua vs. Qingdao match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will determine the winning contract. The market will then settle, and contract holders of the correct exact score will receive a payout based on the final price of their contracts. It's important to note that the resolution is based on the official game result, not on any pre-game predictions or analyses.
Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or unexpected player suspensions could significantly impact the perceived probabilities of different exact scores. Weather conditions on match day, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also play a role. Furthermore, any significant shifts in public sentiment, perhaps driven by social media discussions or expert opinions, could lead to increased trading volume and price fluctuations in this market.
