Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders on Polymarket, aims to represent the true probability of each outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust to new information and reflect the aggregated beliefs of a diverse group of participants. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, information advantages, or simply variations in how risk is assessed.
