Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the wisdom of the crowd on Polymarket, aims to reflect the true probability of an event occurring, though discrepancies can arise due to differing information or biases. It's common to see prediction markets, particularly closer to the event, become more efficient in their pricing as more information becomes available and more traders participate.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Dougaz vs Cina match. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more traders believe Cina will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of its participants.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Shanghai Rolex Masters qualification match between Aziz Dougaz and Federico Cina, as reported by official tournament sources. The market will determine which player advanced to the next stage of the competition, and the outcome will be settled accordingly.
