Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, while this market allows anyone to express their belief, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities as new information emerges. Discrepancies may arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to breaking news or shifts in sentiment than sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes – in this case, each player winning. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people trade, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the match's potential results. The current price indicates the market's expectation of each player’s chances of winning.

Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or even significant shifts in public perception could cause traders to adjust their positions.
