Generally, prediction market odds tend to be more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, as they reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders. However, there can be discrepancies. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. It’s common to see initial odds on Polymarket differ from those offered by sportsbooks, but these often converge as more information becomes available and the event approaches. Comparing the two can offer valuable insights into public perception and potential value.
