If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, and may incorporate a 'vig' or commission. This market, however, is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. If there is significant disagreement between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on Polymarket and a sportsbook. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes, especially when there’s a large volume of trading.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the current implied probability of that score occurring. As more shares are bought for a particular score, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is entirely determined by supply and demand; there are no external factors influencing the valuation. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust its forecast accordingly.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Shanghai Haigang FC versus Chengdu Rongcheng FC match will be used to determine the winning share(s). The resolution will be based on the official result published by the league organizers and widely reported by sports news outlets. Any disputes will be resolved by referencing these official sources to ensure an accurate and transparent outcome for this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Key events include any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Shanghai Haigang FC or Chengdu Rongcheng FC, changes in team formations, or even weather conditions that could affect the match. Unexpected announcements about team management or significant shifts in public sentiment, as reflected in sports news and analysis, could also drive trading volume and alter the perceived probabilities of different exact scores. Any major upsets in recent matches involving these teams could also impact this market.
