FC Magdeburg match originally scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 7:30 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to express their best estimate of the outcome. As a result, prediction markets can sometimes offer more accurate probabilities, especially when there's significant public interest and informed trading activity. Discrepancies can highlight areas where the market believes sportsbooks have mispriced the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the probability of that score occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, the price of shares representing that score will increase. Conversely, if traders think a score is improbable, the price will fall. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the SG Dynamo Dresden vs. 1. FC Magdeburg match will be used to determine the winning shares. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the governing football league. Any disputes regarding the official result will be addressed according to Polymarket’s standard procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process for all traders involved in this market.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, suspensions, or changes in team tactics for either Dynamo Dresden or Magdeburg would likely cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role, potentially favoring one team over the other. Additionally, significant pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators or changes in public sentiment could impact trader behavior and move this market. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for understanding potential price movements.
