PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All platforms utilize the same core resolution logic, relying on official match statistics and providing a clear hierarchy of fallback data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by LaLiga (the governing body or event organizers).

Core resolution logic:

  • Resolution is based on the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time.
  • If the game is postponed, markets remain open until completion.
  • If the game is canceled with no make-up game, markets resolve based on the win/draw/loss outcome.
  • Official match statistics are the primary source; Flashscore, Sofascore, and consensus reporting are fallbacks.
  • Revisions to officially declared final scores after market resolution are not considered.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Delay: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, Flashscore data is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
  • Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the win/loss markets resolve to 'No' and the draw market resolves to 'Yes'.
Timing: Resolution will occur within 24 hours of the match's conclusion, or as soon as official or fallback data becomes available. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those seen on this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves. Prediction markets, however, are driven by the wisdom of the crowd, where participants are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. This can lead to more efficient price discovery. While sportsbooks may initially react to news, this market can quickly incorporate a wider range of information and perspectives, potentially offering a more nuanced assessment of the likely result.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Differences in pricing between Polymarket and Predict for this market can arise from several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and risk appetite, which can influence how odds are set. Additionally, the volume traded on each platform differs—Polymarket has seen a volume of $1,341,266 while Predict has a different trading pattern. These variations, combined with differing opinions among traders on each venue, contribute to price discrepancies. It's common to observe these divergences even when tracking the same underlying event.
