Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, being driven by user predictions, aims to reflect the true probabilities as perceived by the crowd. However, discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or levels of expertise between prediction market participants and sportsbook oddsmakers. It’s common to see prediction markets move more efficiently as new information becomes available, potentially offering a more accurate forecast than static sportsbook lines.
