Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can take the opposite position, driving the price on Polymarket closer to their collective assessment. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk appetites between the two types of markets.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence regarding the Seoul doubles match. The current price reflects the aggregated predictions of all traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
