This market focuses on predicting whether either team will dominate the opposition by a margin of at least two goals in the first period of an NHL game. It reflects the potential for early-game momentum swings and strategic play between the two teams. The outcome depends solely on the scoring differential within the first period, ignoring later stages of the match.
The market resolves based on whether either Seattle or Philadelphia wins the first period by more than a 1.5 goal margin. If Philadelphia achieves this, the market resolves to Yes under the first rule. Similarly, if Seattle secures such a margin, the market also resolves to Yes under the second rule. Both rules share identical secondary conditions: overtime in the third period is excluded from consideration, and if the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, the market remains active and resolves based on the official result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price.
