Description

These markets track how many goals are scored in the third period of an NHL hockey game between Seattle and Florida. Each market has a different threshold for the total goals needed to settle the outcome. The markets only consider goals scored during regulation time of the third period, excluding any overtime play.

Kalshi

All three markets resolve based on the total number of goals scored by both teams combined in the third period of the Seattle vs Florida NHL game scheduled for October 17, 2026, with each market having a progressively higher threshold (0.5, 1.5, and 2.5 goals respectively) for resolving to 'Yes'. Importantly, these markets only count goals scored during the standard third period regulation time and explicitly exclude any goals scored in overtime. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original scheduled time, the markets remain active and resolve based on the final official result of that game. However, if the game is cancelled or fails to start within the 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price, meaning they are settled equitably rather than strictly according to the primary criteria. This consistent secondary rule applies uniformly across all three markets, ensuring that rescheduling within the allowed timeframe does not affect market resolution methodology, while cancellations trigger a fair price resolution regardless of the scoring thresholds defined in the primary rules.
