In the upcoming Pro Football matchup between Seattle and Denver, this event tracks which team manages to score the first touchdown. The outcome hinges purely on the sequence of scoring plays, with all types of touchdowns—including those from offense, defense, or special teams—counting towards the result.
The event resolves based on which team scores the first touchdown in the Seattle vs Denver Pro Football game originally scheduled for Oct 15, 2026, with all touchdown types—including offensive, defensive, and special teams—counting toward the outcome. If the first touchdown occurs in overtime, the respective market resolves to Yes for that team. Should neither team score a touchdown during the entire game, including overtime, the market titled No team scores a TD resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, the market remains open and resolves according to the official final result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, the market resolves to a fair price. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may adjust less quickly to new information or changing sentiment. This market, driven by traders on Kalshi, tends to incorporate a broader range of factors, including news, social media, and even subtle signals that might not be immediately apparent to sportsbooks. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as the event approaches, as the market dynamically adjusts to new data.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the probability of each team scoring the first touchdown. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of that outcome's likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices fluctuate, providing a real-time indication of the perceived probabilities. The closer we get to the game, the more volatile the pricing may become as traders refine their predictions.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team officially scores the first touchdown in the Seattle versus Denver game, as determined by official game statistics. The platform will verify the result against established sports data sources to ensure accuracy. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct outcome will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on incorrect outcomes will not.
Several factors could influence the pricing of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key offensive players on either team – particularly quarterbacks, running backs, or wide receivers – would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, especially if they suggest conditions favorable to a run-heavy or pass-heavy offense, could also impact the market. Even pre-game analysis from sports commentators or unexpected shifts in public sentiment could lead to price fluctuations as traders adjust their positions based on new information.
