This set of markets evaluates whether both Seattle and Denver reach specific point thresholds in their upcoming Pro Football game. The resolution depends on whether each team individually meets or exceeds the designated scoring benchmarks, with all points—including those scored in overtime—contributing to the total.
These markets resolve based on whether both Seattle and Denver each record at least the specified number of points (14, 21, 28, or 35) in the Pro Football game originally scheduled for Oct 15, 2026. Points scored in overtime count toward the total for each team. If the game is postponed but begins within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official final result. If the game is not started within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective predictions of traders, aims to represent the true probability of both teams scoring, without an inherent profit margin for a house. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing information, risk assessment, and public perception. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than traditional sportsbooks, potentially offering a more efficient price discovery process.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing a 'yes' or 'no' outcome to the question of whether both Seattle and Denver will score. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of traders. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders believe both teams will score, the price of the 'yes' contract increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to converge towards the true probability of the event occurring, as perceived by the market participants.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on official game statistics confirming whether both Seattle and Denver each scored at least one point during the game. The outcome will be determined based on the official game results, as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders who correctly predicted whether both teams would score will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries on either team, particularly offensive players, would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, especially if severe weather is predicted, could also affect scoring potential. Unexpected coaching decisions or shifts in team strategy could also move the market. Finally, as the game approaches, any public statements from analysts or experts predicting a high- or low-scoring game could influence trader sentiment and, consequently, the price of this market.
