Description

This market focuses on predicting whether either team will win the first period of an NHL game by a margin greater than 1.5 goals. It specifically tracks the performance of teams in the opening segment of the match, reflecting early-game dominance. The outcome depends solely on the score differential within the first period, not the full game result.

Kalshi

The market resolves based on whether either Seattle or Calgary wins the first period by more than a 1.5 goal margin. If Calgary achieves this margin, the market resolves to Yes under the first rule. Similarly, if Seattle secures a win by more than 1.5 goals in the same period, the market also resolves to Yes under the second rule. Both rules share identical secondary conditions: if the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the market remains active and resolves based on the official result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within this window, all markets resolve to a fair price. Overtime in the third period is excluded from consideration for these first-period-specific markets.
