PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms utilize identical resolution criteria regarding the first goalscorer within the 90-minute timeframe, handling of postponements, cancellations, and data source prioritization.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score during the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome.
  • If no team scores within the first 90 minutes plus stoppage time, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponement extends the market's open duration until the match is completed.
  • Cancellation results in a 'Neither' resolution.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore data is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 (or 'Draw' where applicable).
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made *after* market resolution will not be considered.
Timing: Resolution will occur within 24 hours of the match's conclusion, prioritizing official statistics and utilizing fallback sources if necessary. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a different kind of information than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and attempt to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by the collective opinions of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. As a result, prediction market prices can sometimes diverge from sportsbook lines, potentially offering a more accurate signal, particularly as new information becomes available. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks in response to breaking news or shifts in sentiment.

Several signals could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the Sounders or Dynamo would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team's playing style, could also move the market. Furthermore, late-breaking team news, such as starting lineup announcements, or shifts in public sentiment based on pre-match analysis could influence trading activity. Any unexpected developments leading up to and during the match have the potential to shift probabilities in this market.
