Description

This event group concerns the result of the second half of a Major League Soccer (MLS) match between the Seattle Sounders FC and CF Montréal. PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria, focusing on second-half goals and employing the same hierarchy of data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The team scoring more goals in the second half (including stoppage time) wins.
  • If both teams score the same number of goals in the second half, the market resolves to a draw.
  • Only goals scored in the second half count towards the resolution.
  • Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to a draw.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
Timing: Resolution will occur once the second half of regular play, including any added stoppage time, has concluded and official statistics are available (or a fallback source is used within the specified timeframe). Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit by balancing action on all sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, as prediction markets can sometimes incorporate information that sportsbooks haven’t fully accounted for. However, both types of odds aim to accurately represent the probability of an event occurring, and can be valuable tools for informed decision-making regarding the Sounders vs. Montréal second half.
