If the Saga Ballooners win, the market will resolve to "Saga Ballooners". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. The result will be determined based on the final score including any overtime periods.
The event resolves based on the winner of the men's professional Japan B League basketball game between Saga Ballooners and Seahorses Mikawa, originally scheduled for October 31, 2026, at 4:05 AM EDT. If either team wins the game as ultimately played, the corresponding market will resolve to Yes. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, the market remains open and resolves according to the final result of the actually played game. If the game is cancelled or fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, reflecting an inability to determine a definitive winner under the event's parameters. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Kalshi on this market can occur due to several factors. Differences in user base, trading activity, and market-making strategies can all contribute to varying prices. Furthermore, each platform has its own fee structure and liquidity levels, which can influence how traders assess value. The differing probabilities reflect the individual assessments of traders on each platform, based on available information and their own risk tolerance. These dynamics create opportunities for arbitrage, where traders attempt to profit from price differences across venues.
