On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular team, the price increases, reflecting a growing expectation that they will score first. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand, with traders constantly adjusting their positions based on new information and their own analysis. This dynamic pricing system aims to accurately reflect the collective prediction of the market participants.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on which team, SCR Altach or SV Ried, scores the first goal in the match. The official match records will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. The platform will verify the result against trusted sports data sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders who held shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, particularly to key attacking players, would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in team form, such as a recent string of wins or losses, could also impact trader sentiment. Pre-match analysis from sports analysts and commentators, as well as any updates on tactical approaches, might sway opinions. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role, potentially favoring one team over the other. Finally, even large trading volume from a single participant could temporarily move the market.
