Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can express that view by trading in this market, potentially driving the odds in a different direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of information is publicly available, or when there's strong public sentiment surrounding the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event. The market’s price is determined entirely by supply and demand; there are no external factors influencing the pricing mechanism. This allows for a dynamic and responsive market that can quickly incorporate new information.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Scofari vs. Iskander match, as reported by a recognized and authoritative source. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will not. The precise timing of resolution may depend on the speed of official result confirmation.
Several signals could significantly move this market before Oct 31, 2026. Any news regarding the physical condition of either Scofari or Iskander, such as injuries or illness, would likely have a substantial impact. Changes in publicly available analysis of their performance, or shifts in expert opinions, could also influence trading activity. Finally, large trades by influential participants in this market could create short-term price fluctuations, reflecting their strong conviction about the likely outcome.
