Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict use identical resolution criteria regarding the timeframe, tie-breaking conditions, and data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the winner.
  • If neither team scores within the specified timeframe, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponement extends the market's open duration until the match is completed.
  • Cancellation results in a 'Neither' resolution.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore data is unavailable, Sofascore will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used.
  • Game Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market will resolve to 'Neither'.
Timing: Resolution will occur within 24 hours of the match's conclusion, or as soon as official statistics are available, whichever is sooner. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.
