Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s pricing is driven purely by traders willing to buy or sell based on their own analysis. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. It’s common to see prediction markets move more quickly to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, especially as the event draws nearer.
