If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a team scoring first, the odds on Polymarket may move in the opposite direction. This can sometimes lead to more accurate probabilities, as the market aggregates diverse perspectives.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about which team will score first. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the likelihood of each team taking the early lead. The resolution will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at resolution.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team lineups, injuries to key players, or changes in coaching strategies could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators, might also cause fluctuations. A significant shift in betting volume on Polymarket itself, driven by new information or a change in public perception, would also likely move the market.
