PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Differing resolutions for canceled/abandoned matches, specifically impacting the Draw market on Limitless.Hero tip: Consider the cancellation risk when trading the Draw market on Limitless, as it resolves to 'YES' if no make-up match occurs, unlike the 'NO' resolution on Polymarket for win markets in the same scenario.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: All win markets resolve to 'No' if the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game. Uses official statistics, Flashscore, or Sofascore as secondary sources. Resolution within 24 hours or 50/50 split.
  • Limitless: Win markets resolve to 'NO' if the match is not completed and no make-up match is scheduled. The Draw market resolves to 'YES' if the match is not completed and no make-up match is scheduled. Uses official sources.

Polymarket

This event is for the upcoming Primeira Liga game, scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 between SC Braga and FC Famalicão.

Limitless

This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for November 1, 2026, 20:30 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially offering different insights than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of many individuals. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. While sportsbooks might initially have a stronger stance, this market can dynamically adjust as more traders weigh in, potentially revealing a more accurate probability assessment. The difference can be significant, offering opportunities for informed traders.

Prices for this market may differ between Polymarket and Limitless due to variations in user base, trading activity, and market-specific rules. Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different types of traders with varying risk appetites and information sets, which can lead to discrepancies in perceived probabilities. Furthermore, the liquidity and volume on each platform—currently $109,443 overall—influence price discovery. Differences in trading fees or platform interfaces could also contribute to these price divergences. It’s common to see these variations even when tracking the same underlying event, like the SC Braga vs. Famalicão match.
