Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market’s probabilities emerge from actual money being wagered. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or when new information becomes available. These differences can arise from varying levels of information access or differing interpretations of the same data. Analyzing both sources can provide a more comprehensive view of the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event’s potential results. Trading volume influences how quickly the price adjusts to new information.
This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Savoliuk vs. Levshyn match, as determined by the governing sports organization. The platform will verify the result against available data to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual event result. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment. The exact payout amount will depend on the market price at the time of resolution.
