Typically, prediction market odds reflect a broader range of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often focus on maximizing profit while accounting for public betting patterns, whereas this market allows participants to express their genuine beliefs about the outcome. This can lead to differences in probabilities assigned to various results. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks in accuracy, especially when there’s significant public interest or complex factors influencing the event. However, sportsbook odds can still serve as a useful benchmark for comparison.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts accordingly, creating a dynamic and efficient price discovery process. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand for these shares, with no external intervention.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Valerio Aboian vs Franco Roncadelli match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which outcome is declared the winner. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at resolution. The process is designed to be transparent and objective.
