Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event occurring, as assessed by traders. It’s common to see differences in implied probabilities between this market and sportsbook offerings, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. These differences can present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders capitalize on discrepancies between the two types of markets.
