Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced the event or has access to information not yet fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, especially as the event draws closer.
