In the upcoming MLS game between San Jose Earthquakes and Real Salt Lake, scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the San Jose Earthquakes vs. Real Salt Lake match originally scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and often incorporate a profit margin, while this market’s probabilities are driven purely by traders buying and selling contracts. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when there's strong public sentiment or new information emerges that isn’t fully priced into sportsbook lines. This dynamic makes this market a valuable tool for informed decision-making.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders place buy and sell orders for contracts representing each possible exact score. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. When more people want to buy a contract (believing that outcome is more likely), the price increases, and vice versa. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the market’s collective probability assessment of that specific outcome occurring. Volume plays a key role, as higher volume generally indicates greater confidence in the price.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Earthquakes vs. Real Salt Lake match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score determined by official sources will be used to determine which contracts pay out. Any delays in official reporting may slightly postpone resolution, but the process is designed to be swift and transparent once the official result is available. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Predict once the outcome is finalized.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 31, 2026. News regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the Earthquakes or Real Salt Lake would likely cause significant shifts. Changes in weather conditions, especially if they are expected to heavily impact the style of play, could also move the market. Even tactical announcements from the coaches, such as confirmed starting lineups or formation changes, can influence trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or internal conflicts could also play a role in price fluctuations.
