Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on models and proprietary information, while this market is driven by the collective predictions of traders. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment. Generally, prediction markets tend to be more accurate than traditional forecasts, as they incentivize informed participation and aggregate diverse opinions. The volume of $6 traded on this market suggests significant interest and potentially a refined prediction.
